The Berlin Wine School is an approved program provider for all those who would like to learn about wine, sake and spirits in Berlin. Its goal is to make wine education accessible to everyone, regardless of gender, ethnicity, profession or education background. The school provides opportunities for all to learn and share their passion for wine, whether they are a wine enthusiast looking to learn in their free time, or someone pursuing qualifications to progress professionally in the wine industry. This forum is a place for all of its students and community to connect and discuss online, and as such its goals are directly aligned with the values of the school.
The discussions on this forum are free for all with a profile to access, and are all welcome, regardless of their qualification level. It is important to us that all forum members feel welcome, safe and supported. By posting and participating on this forum, it is assumed that you have read the community guidelines and that you are in agreement with the terms and conditions posted below. Please make sure you familiarize yourself with them ;)
Introduce yourself
Let others know who you are, what you do, and what brought you to the Berlin Wine School (if you like). You can also add information and a photo to your profile on the forum.
Be polite and treat others as you would in real life
No one likes a bully, so don’t be rude. The school and forum administrators will not tolerate any disrespectful comments, discriminatory behavior, personal attacks, explicit content, threats or trolling. If you are the victim or witness of such behavior on the forum, please report to info@berlinwineschool.com
Be open minded and respectful
We are all entitled to our opinions. Especially when it comes to tasting and talking about wine, sake and spirits, there is no right or wrong. You can disagree with someone, but don’t be dogmatic and don’t attack other participants on the base of their opinion. After all, we could all benefit from a little healthy debate!
There are no stupid questions
Learning starts with curiosity, so don’t be afraid to ask for explanations, support or help with your studies on this forum. As long as your question is relevant to the topics of wine, spirits, or sake, this forum is a great place to post your questions and start discussions with your peers.
Respect each other’s privacy
Don’t share personal information or private data about other users, and be careful about posting sensitive information about yourself. Remember that this is an online space, so use it mindfully.
Stay on track
Don’t post messages or content which aren’t relevant to the topics of wine, spirits and sake. Irrelevant content may include things like restaurant reviews or links to external sites that are not related to the topics, but we ask you to use your best judgment. Make sure you post in the right category, and be aware that the forum administrators reserve the right to delete or move content which may be irrelevant or posted in the wrong place.
Don’t use the forum for self-promotion
While sharing tips about events or tastings happening in Berlin is great for the community, this forum is not a place to help you promote yourself or your business, nor is it a marketing platform to generate more revenues or visibility. Any posts that are clearly promotional will be considered spammy and deleted from the forum.
